It’s God’s Money! - with Nikkie Clifton, Kenny Elliott, and Heath Wester

What does God’s Word say about my finances? The answer to this question and more awaits you in this dynamic and interactive class. You will walk away equipped with specific tools and knowledge for successfully managing your finances, building wealth, and giving into the Kingdom of God.

Jude: Compelled to Contend - with Vesta Mangun

Jude, the half-brother of Jesus and brother of James, wrote his half-page book as an earnest plea and appeal to the saints “to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints” and as a warning against heresies and deception by false teachers. Come dig into the culturally-relevant truths of Jude and take away understanding for how to build each other up in the faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, and keep ourselves in the love of God.

me.child(ren).us - with Shane & Teryn Spears

It has often been said that raising children is part joy and part guerilla warfare. Come join us as we examine both the joy and the tactics of family culture and the role we play as parents(me), how our child(ren) must fit into the picture, and finally the dynamics of the family unit as a whole(us). You will leave with a family culture plan and tools to build a Godly culture in your home that is stronger than the culture bombarding your children outside your home.

Overload (Men Only) - with Doug Oliver

Men carry a very unique and significant load in life that can become overwhelming at times. The things that stress us must be understood and managed in a Godly way. We will discuss issues such as the effects of stress on our body and spiritual life, self-discipline, and avoiding the pitfalls that are unique to men. You will have an opportunity to identify your personal stressors and look to scripture as a guide to managing your stress. We are not intended to walk alone, so come join other men who want an honest look at what it means to be a Christian man who is sincere, open, and submitted to God’s guidance along the way.

Real Colors ($12 materials fee) - with Lynn Rogers & Carly Rogers

Do you want to know your communication style and how to communicate more effectively in business, at home, in the community and at church? If so, this highly interactive, hands-on class is for you! Real Colors is a tool that helps you quickly and accurately identify your own temperament and that of your clients, peers, family, and ministries. Because the Real Colors tool has been used in a variety of groups at POA for years, continuing to expand this tool allows POA leaders, ministers, and members to learn a common language to help discuss communications styles and temperaments.

Spiritual Gifts - with Roger Skluzacek & Rob Riddle

The Bible teaches us God has made spiritual gifts available to those who desire more of Him. In this course we will take a look at the nine specific spiritual gifts discussed in the 1 Corinthians 12:7-10. We will help you learn your gift(s) and how those gifts can be used to expand God’s Kingdom.

Spiritual Warfare - with Vani Marshall  Note special dates: September 6th, 13th and October 4th

There is an ongoing battle between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. This Life Class will help you understand what the three dimensions of spiritual warfare are and how to strategically use the Word of God and Spirit of God to live an overcoming life.

They Did What?! - with Thetus Tenney

Characters in the Bible, both the righteous and rebellious, are included as an example for us in our Christian walks. Identifying the strengths and weaknesses of these characters, their high points and pitfalls, can be a strong guiding force to help us identify our weaknesses and bolster our strengths as we strive toward “the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
